The History of Fusion Fitness
Walking into a fitness center can be intimidating—especially for an overweight fourteen year old. This happened to Nic DeCaire (owner of Fusion Fitness Center in Newark DE) when he began his journey into the fitness world. He worked at a local gym while going to high school and became fascinated with how the fitness industry worked.

Drink Beer, Hop. Repeat.
{Out & About Magazine}
Downtown Newark’s Food & Brew Fest is much-anticipated. If you’re a beer afi cionado and plan to attend, you’re in for a good time, because you’ll get to sample the offerings at various bars in town. I know I look forward to it. Even though I’m in the fi tness business, I can’t deny that I enjoy a cold beer on a hot summer day. But I must admit, like many people, I feel guilty the next day about all the calories I consumed.

Redefining Newark -- Beware of vacation pounds
{The Newark Post}
A few months ago, I wrote an article about finding your motivation. My motivation was my wedding and honeymoon. I am happy to tell you that we walked down the aisle on May 10, and enjoyed our honeymoon in Mexico.
Before any of that happened I had to find my motivation and reach my goal - losing 20 pounds.

Redefining Newark -- Don't be a 'lacker;' be a doer!
{The Newark Post}
Last week while attending a fitness conference, I learned an abundance of exciting information. I also heard an alarming fact: only three out of 10 Americans - or 30 percent - exercise on a regular basis. As someone who has worked in the fitness industry for 14 years, I was particularly unsettled by this piece of information. The question is why?

Redefining Newark -- find your motivation. {The Newark Post}
•Motivation. It's a love/hate thing. You want to stay motivated in order to reach your goal--but the process can be daunting. Life gets in the way and so do a myriad of excuses. The Review, The University of Delaware's Independent Student Newspaper named Fusion Fitness Center the best off-campus gym for 2007!
"[U of D] Junior Ryan Gilardi said Fusion is probably the best gym he has been to in Newark. 'The Little Bob has too much going on,' Gilardo said. 'I get my workout done here quick.'"
-From the October 6th issue of The Review - The University of Delaware's Independent Student Paper (Students and residents 'work it' at new gyms)
"Fusion Fitness Center is by far the best gym in Newark. Not only does the staff keep a one on one level with everyone that works out there they also remember your name. Which is not like the other places where you are just a number. Fusion has all new equipment and the staff is very knowledgeable and willing to assist with any questions/concerns you may have about your workout plan."
-Steve Mc. in the comments section of The Review
"The front desk always knows what I want to watch on t.v. berfore I even ask them. That is always a nice touch. I recommend to stop in and check out the facility."
-Jenna in the comments section of The Review
"Fusion is awesome. Nice guys who work there. Great facility. Go there and get buff."
-KD in the comments section of The Review
"I've been a member at Fusion Fitness since they first opened. The staff there is excellent, they are friendly and knowledgeable about exercise and how to craft a workout plan that will enable you to reach your health and fitness goals. I wanted a program that would help me lose weight and get my cholesterol level down and have been working with one of the personal trainers at Fusion since March. In the 3-4 months since I started working out at Fusion my cholesterol level has dropped 40 points and Ive lost about 12 pounds, have more energy and feel great. Unlike some gyms, Fusion is not intimidating to ordinary folks just trying to improve their health. The membership includes a nice mix of young and not so young, folks that are in great shape and those of us still working on getting in better shape. I'll be checking my cholesterol again around September and anticipate continued improvement."
-Frank, 60-year old CFO of a local business
"I want to thank you for providing such an amazing facility, staff and workout experience. Fusion Fitness has become a part of my routine. At least 3 times a week I find myself in your establishment working out. The personal training with Jud Dean was one of the coolest things I have ever done. I have seen major changes in my fitness level and Fusion has been a huge reason.
"You and your staff are professional and provide service beyond my expectations. I am always greeted by name and made to feel welcome when I arrive and told by staff to 'have a great day' or 'see you soon' when I depart. Your equipment is state of the art, the gym and locker rooms are always spotless and the plasma televisions always make my cardio workout much more enjoyable. Fusion Fitness provides everything I am looking for in a place to workout."
"As a small business owner myself, I appreciate the level of service you provide and the attention to detail shown in running your business. Keep up the great work!"
-Mark, local business owner
